One of the most important roles for the LSP
is to constantly look at whether the priorities in the
Braintree District Sustainable Community Strategy
(SCS) are actually being
achieved.
It is essential that we look at whether the
actions we take are making people healthier, reducing crime,
improving the educational attainment of school pupils and making
services more accessible to residents.
In early 2008, the Government released a new set
of National Indicators
which all councils and public services must use to
assess the way they provide services. Click on the link to
'National
Indicators'.
These indicators are being used to make sure that
we are meeting the priorities of
the
Braintree District Sustainable Community
Strategy
and the
Essex Local Area
Agreement.
The LSP's Steering Group receives
regular highlight reports from the Partnership Boards on
project and activity delivery and performance and suggest how
problems can be overcome.
If issues on delivery and performance are
identified by the Steering Group they are reported 'by exception'
to the Executive Group who will make recommendations back to the
Partnership Boards.
